Branch
A tree branch is exactly what it sounds like: the branch of a tree.
Picture a tree branch in your hands. Feel it. Smell it. It smells and feels like a tree.

You're smelling and feeling the branch when, suddenly, it starts screaming at you: "Eh, dad?" (えだ). The branch won't leave you alone. It follows you around screaming "Eh, dad?", thinking you're its long-lost tree branch father. Poor thing.
Picture the branch suddenly crying out, "Eh, Dad?" in a squeaky voice. You'd better find its real dad, otherwise this branch is never going to leave you alone.
