あたい, ね
Imagine a numerical value written on a tie (あたい). Now imagine that it’s the price of a neigh (ね) from your favorite horse. It’s a pretty high price, but you’ll do anything to hear that horse neigh. Generally, あたい refers to a numerical value in math, while ね is a formal word for “price.”
